OA welcomes anyone suffering from eating disorders - including compulsive overeaters, bulimics, and anorexics. Many of us have found recovery here.

What is a Recognition Meeting?

It is a special meeting where recovery chips are handed out for terms of abstinence, beginning with 30 days.  Those receiving chips are invited to share briefly about their program. There is a main speaker with long-term recovery, often from outside Sonoma County, who shares their experience, strength and hope for 30 to 45 minutes.

This is a bi-monthly, 2nd Saturday, event and is easy to miss, so mark your calendars with the following dates!

Saturday, 7:00-8:00 PM
May 10th, 2008

Memorial Hospital, 1165 Montgomery Dr, Santa Rosa, conference rooms next to cafeteria.

Service is Carrying the Message!

There are many opportunities to do service in meetings, such as secretary, treasurer, literature person, speaker getter, or intergroup rep. Meetings close not just due to lack of attendance, but lack of those willing to volunteer to do these vital tasks. The next time a slot is announced, please consider raising your hand and making this small commitment.

Help Spread the Message!

Print our new 15 Questions flyer and post it where you feel you can do the most to help our fellow compulsive overeaters, anorexics, and bulimics who haven't heard our message of experience, strength, and hope. Once you print it, please cut along the vertical dotted lines to make it easy for people to tear of the tabs with our contact information. The flyer is in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. If you do not have the Acrobat Reader, it is available for free on the net.
